Maybe the way we show up as an artist changes - we change mediums or subject matters.
But do our inspiration(s) ever change?
Does what moves us to create ever change - at a soul level?
What some ppl love about my work is the energy that it exhibits. The energy that it is inspired by.
And as I’ve changed recently from hand-sewn work to painting, the idea behind my work and the inspiration behind my work doesn’t change.
The same feelings and emotions are there.
The same need for giving healing through creativity, colour, and process still exists.
The concept of rebirth and renewal, connection and energy are all intertwined within my work, and even if I tried I don’t think that I could ever fully subtract that aspect, or negate that process from my work/pieces.
It will always continue to be at the soul of my work - regardless of how my work transforms as I grow and stretch myself as an artist (and as a creative).
