Welcome to my Studio —
I’m Tanya, a Canadian Fiber and Textile artist. Currently living and working in Montreal, I create original hand-sewn abstract art pieces.
I’m deeply inspired by our connection to the energy of the places and spaces we inhabit, as well as the meditative practice that hand-sewing brings me. Each piece I create then acts as a metaphor for a time and place, or a memory, reminding me of a specific energy and as I sit submissively sewing each stitch I’m permitted to meditate on what that energy afforded me.
